Cash In Cash Out - Pharrell

Concept Design done for Pharrell Williams, 21 Savage and Tyler The Creator's latest Music Video 'CASH IN CASH OUT'

In 2020, I was engaged by Electric Theatre Collective and Director, François Rousselet to conceptualise the architecture in the music video. I was brought onto the project at the early inception of the design phase, and worked closely with the Director, Producer, Creative Director and CG lead to produce initial concepts for both the architecture and the zoetrope in the music video.

At the early stage of my involvement, we explored the idea of an occulus emitting light over the zoetrope. The occulus would contain a giant spherical speaker that would descend during the beginning of the music video. The intent of these concepts was to explore a clean, minimalistic interior that would allow the focus to be on the characters on the zoetrope. A huge influence at the beginning of the project was the beautiful and iconic sets in Dr.Strangelove by the remarkable Ken Adam.
